Last week, I posted a new (old) drawing here titled daedal.
I went live on my FB to talk a bit more about it (scroll down to view the video!)
The word daedal comes from the person in Greek mythology Daedalus. He was an inventor, and used his artistry in order to escape his situation. (Google him to find out more of his story, though it’s very much a hero’s tale with tragedy)
But for simplicities sake, I want to also dive deep into the secrets of unlocking daedal, or artistry, in your life.
I’ll cut right to the point:
You don’t have to do any crazy ritual or task to see the artistry of your life.
All you have to do is arrive and accept what is before you.
And, I’ll say this–getting to this arrival is not easy.
You may find yourself in a place of seeking the answers.
And that’s ok.
You may find yourself in a place of confusion and comparison to others.
And that’s ok.
You may find yourself so fruitfully busy that the moments fly by without recognition.
And that’s ok.
Often, the gifts of the moment come forth in a later time.
Like for me, this drawing is almost a decade old. I’ve never posted it or shared it before. I created this piece as I was in the midst of a heartache and desiring to find my soul mate.
In order to process my stuck feelings, I used my time to draw really intricate, elaborate pieces.
Now, as I am combing through my old art, I see this piece as a relic of a time–a time that was tough in some ways. A time that felt confusing. A time that felt extremely busy.
I see the artistry at play in this time. I see that all the moving and yucky parts were laying foundation to the most important relationship of my life–my now marriage.
Dear one, this is all to say…I hope you accept what is before you.
Acceptance IS the key to unlocking the artistry of your life.

I am accepting that another temp job is coming to an end and a new journey is about to begin. I desire to use the next 4 weeks to truly create a fun and abundant new opportunity. One where I can travel and be creatively creating abundance. I am used to change but I am now being more deliberate about creating my reality. I really enjoy your artwork and posts on Instagram.
