I want you to fail

I want you to fail. Well, not really – but sort of.

Why would I want you to fail? Well, I know you’d get through the failure and realize there are gifts there. Also, you’d find a way to get through your pain as a stronger being. And last, but not least, it means you’ve tried something new.

I realized recently that even though I teach creativity — I really teach failure. I’m leaning towards calling myself the failure guide. What do you think?

As I take a few months off of regular blog writing (to focus on other types of writing for my programs and myself) I’ll be doing a once a month short blurb on a topic.

This month’s topic? You guessed it.

Failure.

Here’s an archive on my writings on the topic:

“You may encounter many defeats, but you must not be defeated. In fact, it may be necessary to encounter the defeats, so you can know who you are, what you can rise from, how you can still come out of it.” ~ Maya Angelou

Tell me – dear one, what’s your relationship like with failure?

If you’d like extra guidance, check out this free gift where I help you reframe failure — hopefully forever.

Would you be willing to take 3 minutes and fill out this survey about failure? I’m researching it and what it means to you. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

  1. Failure has helped me grow so much over the years. It’s also shown me when to change direction. Hoping I model ‘failing forward’ to my kids.

    1. I love the idea of modeling failure for our children. It’s very important to show our process. Thanks for adding your thoughts, Shelia. I appreciate you!
